Heute kündigte Universal Deutschland offiziell Ridley Scotts "Gladiator" auf Blu-Ray an. Am 1. Oktober soll der Hit-Sandalenfilm in einem wirklich üppigen 2-Disc-Set erscheinen.
Hervorragend dabei: sowohl die Kino- als auch die Extended-Version des Films sind auf der ersten Filmdisc an Bord! Aber es wird noch besser. Beide Fassungen sind mit unterschiedlichen Audiokommentaren versehen. Während auf der langen Fassung Scott und Hauptdarsteller Russel Crowe zu hören sind, begeleitet die Kinofassung einen weiteren Kommentar mit Scott, Kameramann John Mathieson und Cutter Pietro Scalia.
Die Langfassung enthält zusätzlich auch noch eine aufgemotzte Version des originalen Trivia-Tracks sowie ein neues Blu-Ray Feature names "Topic Marker". Hiermit lassen sich Szenen markieren, zu denen dann automatisch auf der zweiten Disc (!!!) die dazugehörigen "Making of" Infos zusammengestellt werden.
Auf der zweiten Disc befinden sich alle bisher auf DVD erschienen Specials und weitere Features:
